Murphy's 4th Week!

Our first date night! LinLin watched Murphy while we went out to a nice dinner at Northshore Brasserie and to Rooster's! It was a fun night. I don't know who had more fun- us or LinLin!:)
Sunday night Murphy got to meet "Aunt" Helen and "Uncle" Joe. I think they are dreaming of Pawley's Island here!
Helen and Murphy will soon be looking for shark's teeth along the beach!
Joe now has another fishing buddy and the newest member of the Pawley's clan to get to hear his famous Spider Monkey stories. They say daddy loved those stories and we can't wait for Murphy to grow up hearing them too!

Baby Luke!

Today Murphy had a wonderful suprise! Our friends, Sharon and Kevin, who moved to Michigian earlier this year, stopped by with their baby, Luke! We were so happy to get to see them! Luke and Murphy were fast friends-oops, no pun intended! (Shar and I ran together at UT and Kevin ran for the men's team.) These may be two future track stars!

Big Weekend!

We had a big weekend! Lin Lin and RiRi came to visit. Murphy had so much fun! Mom and Dad even got to go watch the game on Saturday! DeeDee and Dibs kept him for a couple of hours on Friday night as well so we could go out to a friend's birthday party! On Sunday, we ate over at DeeDee and Dibs' house and entertained them and Great Aunt Lisa and Great Uncle Eric! Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Mother of the Year

I guess I won't be getting the "Mother of the Year" award this year! Earlier this week I decided to boil 2 passies that had fallen on the floor. About 45 minutes and a kitchen full smoke later, I smelled plastic. (Of course, I was nursing Murphy!) I threw him into his carseat, turned off the stove and opened all of the doors to the house! It was so bad that we had to leave the house for at least 2 hours. The worst part of all was that the very next day, I was so paranoid that I stood beside the stove to sterilize some more things and again, smelled plastic burning! This time I was watching the pot so intently that I hadn't noticed that I had turned on the wrong eye and the already sterilized items and the plastic container they were in were now melting into the other eye on the stove! Needless to say, I learned how to use the microwave sterilizer I had not gotten around to opening!!! Luckily, the house is still intact and no one was harmed- except for maybe my pride!:)

Meeting Dee Dee!

Murphy got to meet his Dee Dee for the first time this morning! She has been in Mississippi helping Aunt Abby and Uncle Graydon with baby Allie Harris. He loved her so much and stayed up for awhile to play with her! She brought him some trucks that make noise and the cute bear play mat below!
Murphy likes to practice his numbers often! He flashes his fingers and then we count how many together! Two and four are his favorite! I am so bad at math, I thought we'd better start early- maybe he'll have Walker's math skills!!:)

Bath Time

Murphy likes to take a bath when we get to the part where he gets warm water poured on him! Hopefully he will be a water baby!:)

Lin Lin came to help out with Murphy this week and was a huge help! He was really sad last night when she had to go home to teach school and coach Volleyball. She is coming back on Friday and he is so excited! Murphy definetly loves Lin Lin!!

Happy Birthday, Grandaddy!

Yesterday was my Grandaddy's birthday! We had him over for dinner. He shares his birthday with his friend Howard Vogel and daddy's friend, Alex Vogel. We thought I might join their birthday club, but instead my cousin Allie Harris and I decided to start our own! We were both born on August 31st! She got here a few hours before me. She is very pretty and I can't wait to meet her! (Walker's parents became grandparents twice on the same day in two states!!:)

Murphy's First Full Day

Good Morning! He is so alert here. You can really tell who he looks like here. Not only does he look like Walker, but he also sneezes after he eats just like him!
