A Visit to the ER...

"I'm feeling much better now!" We had quite the eventful afternoon yesterday! Murphy woke up from his nap early yesterday and was hysterical and straining like his belly hurt. He normally doesn't cry too much, so I knew something was not right. I tried to calm him down for about an hour and nothing worked! I knew something was up when he refused juice and food. Of course by this time the doctor's office had closed, so we picked Walker up from working out and we were off to the ER at Children's. By the time we got there he had worked himself up into such a frenzy that his breathing had become irregular. Ultimately, it turned out to be an ear infection with a high fever, but it took lots of uncomfortable tests to make sure. The hardest part was having to hold him down while he was being x-rayed. They had to strap his little legs to the table. As most of you know, watching your child in pain is the worst feeling for a parent. Walker and I both said that it was by far the hardest thing we have ever done. Luckily, all is well now and in comparison to other things, it was really a minor incident. It is so hard because babies can't tell you what is wrong. The staff at the hospital was wonderful so we were at ease once we got him settled. Thanks to everyone who has sent well wishes our way!

Wild man!

Here are two videos of Murph in action! He is keeping me very busy these days! In the first one, he is blowing the whistle LinLin gave him. In the second one, he is trying to climb his chair. When I say "Be careful, Murphy", he turns back and smiles. He is such a funny little guy!:)

Father's Day Weekend

Happy Father's Day! We had a busy, fun-filled weekend! We went to Nashville for Ryan and Elene's wedding and Murphy had fun staying with LinLin and Gram. We celebrated Father's day on Sunday with Daddy and on Monday night with Dibs. Murphy made his Daddy a card, gave him a book they can read together, called Daddy Hugs, and also gave him a really cool cheese slicer that he wanted! Here are some pics from the weekend:
"My DaDa is #1!" "Daddy always knows how to make me laugh! Mommy and I love him so much!!!"
Eating breakfast in my great-granddaddy's highchair
I am so busy these days! I love to crawl with "my guys"!
Ol' sleepy eyes- it must be naptime!:)
Playing with Mommy at West Meade
Murphy loved all the attention he got from the kids at the pool! "LaLa", one of his biggest fans, is keeping a close eye on him from the side!
Murphy is showing all of the kids how to blow a Lifeguard's whistle! (I'll try to post the video soon!)
We were out for thunder, but it didn't get Murph down- he loved rolling the ball to the big boys!

Looking out the door with LinLin
The next few are wedding pics- This chandelier was in the tent at the Reception. It was so pretty I had to take a picture!
Fun times! Elizabeth, Bart, Adrienne, and me

What has Murphy been up to?

Murphy has really been enjoying the pool since the water has gotten warmer! (Thanks to this heat wave!:) He really likes to get in the big pool and has fun on the steps of the baby pool playing with cups and bath toys! Here are some pics DeeDee took last week!

( He's not so sure about rafts yet!)
Murph would go naked all day if we let him! He loves playing in just a diaper- the next best thing!:)
Bath time! I think he's doing his deer snort here!
All wrapped up! (Taken just before he tinkled on me and the floor!! ) Miller hung his head as Walker wiped it up-poor doggie, he thought he was in trouble, but this time the culprit was Murph!
Halle and Miller got baths, haircuts, and their nails clipped today. It was much needed! Here are our other babies showing off their new "do's"!
Can you see Miller's lion tail? haha
We have been doing this a lot- "How big is baby?"

"Sooooo Big!!!!" (Sorry, I forgot to rotate it!)
Murph is army crawling all over the house! He does laps all morning long! His little forearms are getting raw!
Under the doggie dish- Sorry, LinLin and DeeDee!:)
He just crawled right out of his PJ's by naptime!

Great Wedding!

We are in the middle of a three wedding whirlwind! We went to New Orleans for Taylor and Simonne's wedding on May 31st. (Unfortunately, we left the camera in Nashville with Murphy!:) This past weekend we went to Brendon and Amanda's wedding at Brendon's family farm in Dayton, TN. It was a beautiful setting! Here are some pics from the wedding! The Bride and Groom's first dance
Hanging out listening to the awesome Bluegrass band
The Webb boys- Chris, Hal, Whitfield, Walker, Lloyd, Nick, Tee, Eric, and Brendon, the groom in front!

Bumbo Comparison

Walker and I were looking through some older pictures tonight and thought we would compare some pics of Murphy in his Bumbo seat! Here he is one of the first times he sat in it at 3 months! Below is Murphy in his Bumbo at 8 1/2 months! My, how time flies! His legs barely fit in it now!:)
Stay tuned for another comparison later on this week!:)
