John Murphy Diddle has arrived. He was born today at 4:38 pm weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 in. long! (Which is remarkable considering his mommy and daddy's heights:) We are lucky to have such a healthy boy. All is well and we are just enjoying him! We think he already looks so much like his daddy!! We will post some more pics as we get them loaded onto the computer.

Date Night
Walker and I had a "date night" tonight to celebrate one of the last nights that it will be just the two of us. We ate at Fleming's and had a wonderful dinner of steak and lobster! It is strange, but also exciting to think that the next time we are able to go to a really nice dinner we will have a babysitter! (Don't worry Lin Lin and Dee Dee, it will be one of you!:) Thanks to all of our friends and family who have been so thoughful and supportive over the past few months. We feel so lucky to have all of you! We are so excited about entering this next phase of our journey as a family!

Baby Update
As of now, we will be going in this Friday, August 31st to have the baby induced- unless, of course, he plans on arriving earlier this week! We ate dinner tonight with Walker's parents and his mom took this picture of us with only 5 days left! We are so excited and will hopefully post a few more times this week to keep everyone updated on what is going on. Walker is getting his "gear" ready for the delivery room- new white wristbands and headband with a "Power T" on them! We will definetly post when he arrives, either on Friday night or sooner... Until then, we are just getting all the last minute things ready for his arrival. Please keep us in your prayers this week!

Happy Birthday, Will!
Today is my brother Will's 22nd Birthday! I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the best brother around! I know "Big Will" will be such a great uncle! He's already planning basketball lessons for Murphy I'm sure! Sorry for the retro-blogging on the pics, but I didn't have any recent ones! Also, the one below of Will and Tyler is so funny!!! Love ya, Willy B! -Sissy
Puppy Spa Day
Today Miller and Halle got to have a spa day with Miss Emily of Aussie Pet Mobile! She came to our house and gave them each a bath, a shave, an aloe treatment, and cut their toenails! She also put cute bandanas on them! They both really enjoy getting groomed and behave really well for Miss Emily. We wanted to get them clean and give them a treat before they have to share the spotlight with baby Murphy!

Nursery
Here is the nursery for those of you who have been asking to see pictures! I still haven't put much on the walls yet, but everything else is pretty much ready to go! I am having a friend do a monogram to hang over the bed, but it is not finished yet. The room is quite green, but cheery! I am really happy about how it turned out. I designed the bedding from a company called Javis-Davis. They were so helpful! Walker put the baby bed together, assembled the glider, and painted the bookshelves! (They had been in my classroom.) He has become quite the jack of all trades! My mom and the lifeguards at her pool spray painted all of the white baskets, which was quite a task! In order to "save money" I thought it would be a great idea to buy brown baskets and spray paint them white. Well, at least 16 cans of white spray paint later, and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears(I'm sure) the moral of the story is: Suck it up and buy the white baskets!!!! Thanks mom!:)
An up close shot of the main fabric on the curtains and bumpers
We were lucky that the bench fit so great in this dormer- there's not much else to do with this space!

August 5 Knoxville Shower
My mother-in-law, Debbie's "bridge group" hosted a shower for me on Sunday. Everything was lovely! Once again, we were spoiled with so many wonderful gifts. We are definetly ready for Murphy to arrive! Here I am with Debbie "Dee Dee", mom "Lin Lin" and Gram!
Opening gifts- a sweet short-all from the Coffey's.
Here I am with Macy, who will be Murphy's #1 babysitter! Macy's mom, Julieanne (who set me up with Walker) will be Murphy's God-Mother. Macy, Julieanne, and Judy gave us this precious fire engine! He will look so cute riding in it!!!
Shower Hostesses: Lynn Smith, Lynn Vogel, Bonny Naugher, and Mary Cottrell. Helen Bruner was also a hostess, but had to leave early. Thank you so much, I had so much fun!!!
